Staff Reporter : 27th November, 2023, Kolkata: In a joyous celebration of education, Paschim Bangiya Marwari Sammelan ShikshaKosh recently inaugurated its 34th Stipend Presentation Ceremony under the leadership of Brahmanand Agarwala, the President of the organization. This event, dedicated to supporting education, marks a significant step towards addressing the critical issue of dropouts and ensuring access to education for all.
A total of 670 students, including 360 boys and 310 girls from 55 schools, are set to benefit from this initiative by receiving essential school fees. The ShikshaKosh program aims to remove financial barriers that often hinder students’ educational journeys, making quality education more accessible.
The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. The Chief Guest, Shri Firhad Hakim, Hon’ble MIC Municipal Affairs & Urban Development, Govt. of West Bengal, and Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, along with Guests of Honour Shri Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Hon’ble MIC Parliamentary Affairs & Agriculture Dept., Govt. of West Bengal shared their insights and encouragement.
Swami Biswatmananda, Hon’ble General Secretary of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, and other distinguished guests, including eminent industrialists and social workers, added their presence to the event, highlighting the collective commitment to education.
