The symbol of the infinite God Shri Hari Vishnu is considered. God is called eternal because He has neither a beginning nor an end!!

If Shri Hari (Vishnu ji) is worshipped on this day, you will get infinite fruit for 14 years.

If they believe in mythology, even Pandavas had got lost Rajpath from the pratap of this fast. Pandavas were suffering in the jungle after losing all their Rajpat in gambling, then Lord Krishna had advised the Pandavas to fast for Anant Chaturdashi!!
